Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of drakerefacing.com and any estimate, quote, or cabinet refacing, redooring, painting, storage, or installation project you request from Drake Cabinet.
Drake Cabinet ("Drake Cabinet," "we," "us," or "our") is a family-owned cabinet refacing company serving Ipswich, Pembroke, and the North Shore of Massachusetts since 1980. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of drakerefacing.com (the "Site") and any estimate, quote, or project you request from us, whether through the Site, by phone, or in person.
By using the Site or requesting a free estimate, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or request our services.
Acceptance of Terms
By browsing the Site, submitting the Free Estimate form, calling us, or otherwise engaging Drake Cabinet, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have the authority to request work at the property in question, and you agree to be bound by these Terms.
These Terms apply to your use of the Site. A separate written proposal or contract, provided once your project scope is confirmed, governs the actual performance of installation work and takes precedence over these Terms in the event of a conflict.
Services We Provide
Drake Cabinet provides the following categories of service, each scoped to the individual kitchen or project:
- Custom cabinet refacing: updating cabinet faces, doors, drawer fronts, veneer, and finish.
- Cabinet redooring: replacing doors and drawer fronts on existing cabinet boxes.
- Cabinet painting: refinishing existing cabinetry with a new color or finish.
- Storage solutions: drawer, organizer, and functional storage upgrades.
- New cabinets: full replacement for projects where layout changes or the existing cabinet boxes are not suitable for refacing.
The specific scope, materials, and timeline for your project are confirmed in writing before work begins. Descriptions of services on the Site are for general information and do not constitute a binding offer.
Estimates & Quotes
Free estimates provided through the Site, by phone, or in person are based on the information and access available at the time of the visit or conversation. Final pricing may change if, once work begins, we discover conditions not visible during the estimate, such as structural damage, water damage, or out-of-square cabinet boxes.
Good to know: A written estimate does not become a binding contract until both parties confirm scope, price, and schedule in a signed proposal or agreement.
Estimates are valid for a limited time, typically 30 days, after which pricing may need to be revisited due to material cost changes.
Scheduling & Site Access
Once a project is confirmed, we schedule work based on crew and material availability. Many refacing projects are completed within 1 to 4 days on site, though larger projects, including new cabinet installations, may take longer.
- Homeowners are responsible for clearing cabinet contents and providing reasonable access to the work area before the scheduled start date.
- Pets should be secured away from the work area for the duration of the project.
- Drake Cabinet is not responsible for delays caused by restricted access, incomplete preparation, or conditions outside our control, including weather, supplier delays, or permitting.
Payment Terms
Payment terms, including any deposit, progress payments, and final balance, are set out in your project proposal or contract. General terms include:
- A deposit may be required to schedule materials and crew time before work begins.
- Remaining balances are due upon completion of the agreed scope of work, unless otherwise stated in your written agreement.
- Late payments may be subject to reasonable interest or collection costs as permitted under Massachusetts law.
- Any change to the agreed scope of work, requested after the project begins, may result in an updated price before the change is carried out.
Warranties
Drake Cabinet stands behind its workmanship. Specific warranty terms, including coverage period and what is and is not included, are provided in writing with your project proposal or completion paperwork.
Warranties generally do not cover damage caused by misuse, ordinary wear, improper cleaning products, water intrusion unrelated to our installation, or modifications made by parties other than Drake Cabinet. Manufacturer warranties on materials, such as hardware or door fronts, are passed through separately and governed by the manufacturer's own terms.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Massachusetts law, Drake Cabinet's total liability for any claim arising from the Site or from a project we perform is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
Drake Cabinet is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of use of your kitchen during a project, unless caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for personal injury or property damage caused by our negligence to the extent such limitation is not permitted by law.
Website Use & Content
All text, photos, project images, logos, and other content on the Site, including before-and-after project photography, belong to Drake Cabinet or are used with permission and may not be copied, reproduced, or used commercially without our written consent.
- You agree not to use the Site in a way that could damage, disable, or impair its function.
- You agree not to attempt unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its underlying systems.
- Submissions through the Free Estimate form must be accurate and relate to a genuine service inquiry.
Cancellations & Changes
You may cancel or reschedule a confirmed project by contacting us as early as possible. Depending on how close cancellation is to the scheduled start date, deposits may be non-refundable if materials have already been ordered or crew time has already been reserved on your behalf. Specific cancellation terms are outlined in your written project agreement.
Disputes & Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms, the Site, or a project performed by Drake Cabinet will first be addressed through good-faith direct communication between the parties before either party pursues formal legal action.
Any legal proceeding relating to these Terms will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in Massachusetts.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, business practices, or legal requirements. The "Effective date" at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
